Very rare and hard to find little 2 stroke racer from 1971. It’s a gorgeous and all original Bridgestone GP100 that we picked up last summer as a non-runner. After 9 long months and many countless hours of staring at it , it is still a non-runner. It wants to be driven very badly but we just never seem to get the time to start on it.  From what we can tell, the bike is 99% complete. The engine and transmission are both very solid and we don’t believe that there are any issues with them. It will need a clutch actuator piece, carb choke and a few cables to get it back on the road. A nice Spring day spent down at Sportwheels in Jordan, MN should allow you to round-up any missing pieces.

This little rocket ship would make a great low-cost restoration project for someone.  A GP100 fully and properly restored should have a value in the end of around $2700.00-$3200.00…so do the math! It could be a great investment on top of everything else. The original factory specs on this bike claimed a top speed of 70 mph! A little port work and a custom expansion chamber exhaust will having you holding on for dear life!

Bridgestone motorcycles were short-lived but were not short on technology at the time. The Japanese 2 stroke engines were very well made and out-performed everything comparable in its class! Do some research and come out and inspect this bike. We can stare at it together for a while before you load it up!

Very nice 77 silver Puch Maxi Sport with a stock E50 single speed engine. The engine was professionally rebuilt the fall of 2011 and has had minimal miles added to the odometer since. Runs smooth and strong. The moped has a mild after-market performance exhaust on it and high-flow air cleaner.  Tires and many other parts are new. This is your basic Maxi but with the mid-length sport seat, wider alloy wheels and additional chrome. This moped is listed as *Used* but it did go through a complete reconditioning 9 months ago. It’s a wonderful running and very reliable modified black 1978 Puch Newport.  This moped was custom-built for a customer’s son who needed transportation to and from school everyday last summer. The moped was built for reliability but it also  needed to be able to merge and keep up to traffic on a very busy city street where the family lived. The son is now off to college and no longer has a need for the moped since receiving a new motorcycle recently so it’s back in our inventory again. He said it never gave him any problems and he will definitely miss it!

The engine is a Maxi-Luxe high torque E50 single speed with less than 300 miles on a full rebuild. The ports have been modified on the top end for increased hp, simple and modest exhaust upgrade, heavy-duty after-market forks,  heavy-duty shocks, 15mm carb, almost new tires, extra wide seat, and more. If you are looking for stock reliability and just enough performance modifications to make going to get a loaf of bread a lot of fun, we have your Puch! Clean title and current tabs!

The tan 1978 Batavus Regency bike is available to be  re-conditioned or fully restored. This is one of our most favorite models of mopeds because of the soft, comfortable ride and fun Laura M56 reed-valve engine. The Laura M56 engine was only available in the Regency model so it is a bit more unique and rare than the standard issued Laura M48 engine that most Batavus mopeds used as a powerplant. It has a unique sound and feel when riding that is unlike most other bikes.

The full seat position over the rear wheel allows the rider to easily control the balancing point of the entire moped by simply by shifting his or her weight forward or backward. This makes the entire bike feel very controllable and also very light.  Though it is no taller in stature than other mopeds, it seems to fit many taller riders more adequately due to riding postion possibilities. Another really cool and unique feature that the Regency has is a 3 gallon gas tank. That is huge by moped standards. You can go a long ways on 3 gallons of gas in this bike!

Batavus mopeds were built and imported from Holland and have always had a good reputation for quality. The Batavus engines are very solid but there is a limited amount of off-the-shelf performance parts available to them making these better suited for those looking for a stock ride.  This moped could be purchased as a reconditioned moped but really would be best fully restored. For restoration, you can choose between having it painted in either factory Black, Tan or Red. Here is a Black re-conditioned one that went to a new home last year. We missed it so much that we actually tried to buy it back later on that same summer without luck!

1965 Montgomery Ward Riverside (Benelli Powered) Moped. This really cool old moped is currently being restored back to factory original condition but with extras. This beautiful old machine will not only be fully restored, it will also be sporting a matching sidecar, leg shields and small windshield. When this project is complete, it will not only look good but perform even better.  The sidecar is being molded from fiberglass resin and aluminum and will be detachable……as if someone would really want to choose to detach it.  The triple link design will allow it to tilt right along with the moped when cornering. Everything is being custom-made to not only match the metalwork of the moped frame, it’s being made to look as if they are original OEM factory accessories.  The sidecar will be painted to match the bike and will get custom-made decals to match as well. To keep the side car size in correct perspective to the moped, it will probably be too small for humans but you will be able to transport your dog or groceries around if you so choose. Oh, and the best part of this grand-to-be moped is that it will even have a full warranty!
